Norman Richard Clement's Story

My Dad, Norman Richard Clement, ran away from his Boarding school to fight in the First World War. He was just 17. He was a Field Linesman with the Signals Dept of Royal Engineers. I have no idea where he fought as he would never talk about it, except to say the first dead body he saw was a friend from school. He was gassed and finally discharged in 1920. He received the British War Medal and Victoria Medal.
