William Cecil's Story

My grandfather worked hard all his life, he started working age 12 in an ironmongers. He served as volunteer in territorials with Northumberland fusiliers before serving in France and Belgium. Wounded in Action and discharged from army.

Married Annie in 1922 they had 4 children retired twice and still went back to work finally retired age 86, died following year (1982) 10 days after diamond (60th) wedding anniversary.
