George's Story
I dont know much about my great grandfather, but I was told that he was in the 2nd Batt of the Nottingham & Derbyshire Reg of the Sherwood Foresters in WW1. I understand that he was shot, got tetunus and sent home. He was born in and lived in Battersea SW London. He married my great grandmother Grace M Blumire in 1913 and they went on to have 6 children. He died in 1963 and is buried along with his wife in Streatham Cemetary, London.
