benjamin's Story
My great grandfather Lance Corpral Ben Schofield, no. 9594, joined the Cheshires in 1911 and was captured by the Germans on the 8th of May 1915. He was a prisioner at the Merseburg p.o.w. camp untill he was repatriated on the 9th of April 1919.
