Robert Walter's Story

Robert Walter Stevens was the last of his brothers (4 of them in total) to survive. He died of Spanish flu in February 1919 having just survived the war. His brothers, Herbert (died 1914), Ernest (died 1915) and Arthur (died 1916) were all soldiers. My grandfather was just over a year old when he lost his father. I think it is important to remember the men who gave their lives and the impact it had on future generations. A whole branch of my family tree was broken off by this war. May they all rest in peace.
