John Alexander's Story
L/Cpl 16193, my Great Uncle Johnny was rescued wounded under fire with others by my Grandfather William Angus Ivel on 31/07/1917, for which was awarded the MM. Unfortunately Johnny was killed in action on 26/04/1918. He is remembered on his mum and dads gravestone in Brora and buried in Laventie Military Cemetery at La Gorgue.
