Thomas's Story
Thomas Cryer was killed in action on 23rd. March 1918. He has known grave and although commorated on the war memorial at Killinghall, the CWGC had no record of him. The archives of the KOSB had no record of him either. After some research, the musuem discovered that his pension had been assigned to Elizabeth Cryer of New Wortley, Leeds. It was agreed that his name had probably been misspelt as Craven. The memorial at Pozieres was altered and his correct name inserted.
His brother, Ernest Cryer, also fell.
