William Robert's Story
I remember that my grandmother told me that grandad had said that they had lined the trenches with bully beef tins, I wish I had listened more to what I was told. Grandad suffered a lot in later life due to the effects of mustard gas.
I knew my Grandfather very briefly as he died when I was only 6 years old.
