Patrick Christopher's Story
I never met my uncle but have got his medal record, Corporal No 19775 B Co 13 Battalion Kings Liverpools. Also a post card written before embarking for France as part of The British Expeditionary Force. Posted on 8th Nov 1914-he was based at Corton Camp Wiltshire and was leaving the Camp on the next Monday for Bournemouth. The postmark is Sherington Camp.Signed off'until I write again..'
He did survive the War.The only other record I have is he was at some stage at the Stoke-onTrent War Hospital (possibly 10/01/1916).And a note parcels were limited to 7lbs weight. I believe he died in the late 1950's in the Wolverhampton, Dudley area.
