John's Story
Grandfather went to war leaving a wife pregnant with their 3rd child and two small sons. My Aunt was born in March 1915, but her Father never returned home; he was killed at the Battle of Loos in September 1915.
I visited the War Memorial at Dud Corner Cemetery in Loos and it was a very emotional experience for me, the first member of our family to have been there. I took lots of photos for my beloved Aunt to see of her Father's commemoration. John Fallon is also commemorated on the World War 1 War Memorial at Waterloo Station, London, as he had worked for the Great Western Railway prior to going to war.
