George's Story
George Bradshaw is my Nan's Grandfather. This year we visited his grave in Courmas, Nr Reims, France. I know very little of him, and have found it difficult finding more. But what i do know is that he died on the 20th July 1918 in the Second battle of the Marne. He was originally (we think) from Tickhill, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I do not know what he looks like or how old he was when he died. But even knowing very little does not stop me feeling immensely proud of him. I hope in the future i find out more, but until then i will remember that a member of my family fought bravely and paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country. I will never forget.
