David Donald's Story

David Livingstone (proper name Liveston) and was a regular Soldier serving in "D" Coy, 2nd Btn Black Watch. Official records show, "Livingstone, David, b. Forfar, e. Forfar, 6836, L/Cpl., d. of w., F.& F., 9/12/14"; the entry refers to The Black Watch (Royal Highland). He is buried at Lillers Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais (Nr. Bethune, France), Plot 3, Row B Grave 9. He was believed to have served in the South African Campaign and possibly India. His Army records were destroyed during enemy action, WW2. David was the half brother of my paternal grandmother.
