Kenneth's Story

Kenneth joined the army at the age of 18. After some basic training he was drafted into the Light Infantry wiith the King's Liverpool Regiment. They sailed from Liverpool to Naples out into the Atlantic ocean to avoid the German U-boats. When they entered Rome it was empty. He experienced being captured by a German patrol, but luckly managed to escape. He was then commissioned as an Officer and seconded to the Gurkah regiment.
