This is my grandfather who was born in 1894 and died in 1990 at the age of 97. He was born in North Cerney near Cirencester Gloucestershire and was the oldest of six children. He joined as a volunteer 1914-15 ? with six other men from the village who all went in to the Royal Engineers. His Number was 46392 DVR and was sent to France.
