Frank's Story
Frank West was my great-grandfather. As he died in 1918, and his son, my grandfather, has also passed on, there is no-one left in our family who knew him. However, my aunt and my mother have researched our family history, and the discovery of Frank West has made us all very proud that he made such a sacrifice for our country, and at the same time very sad that my grandfather grew up without him, and that my mother and her brothers and sisters never knew him.
The Grandfather we never knew....
