Walter George's Story
He was killed in action at Bazentin le Petit on 9 September 1916, aged 20.
Private Walter George Cork, S/2125, 2nd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, 1st Regular Division, was born in Hove, the son of Walter George and Louisa Jane Cork. He enlisted in Brighton and was killed in action at Bazentin le Petit on 9 September 1916, aged 20. He is recorded in St PeterÂs Memorial Book and commemorated on The Thiepval Memorial. MR. 21.
