John's Story

We have no idea when he was born,but we know it was in Glasgow. We know he served in other Theatres of War and won medals but he was sent to Palestine and was killed in the 3rd Battle of Gaza on 2nd November 1917. He was a Private in the 1st/8th Battalion of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) His service number was 290888. We never knew him but are very proud of him
