Albert's Story

Albert was part of the 15th Bn West Yorkshire Regiment. He went to serve his country at the age of 32 years and left behind a wife and three very young children. Like many others, he was never to return. My grandmother got on with life and raised three lovely children, one of whom was my mother Mary.

Killed in Action 23rd Feb 1917 at The Somme. Buried in Gezaincourt Communial Cemetary, France.
