George's Story

george `pop` roe fought in france during ww1. he was shot in the leg, the wound became infected and he eventually lost both of his legs. he won both the victory medal and the british medal for fighting for his country....he was my great grandfather and iam sad to say i never met him....i will however NEVER forget him....one of the bravest men i never knew
