Richard's Story

First nephew of my great grandmother Emma Walker (nee Canlin) to be killed. Writing to Mrs Amos Canlin, (Richards' Mother) Col. Sir Almroth Wright said: 'Your Son was a good, hard-working boy, and did very good and useful work, everybody who worked with him was very much attached to him.'

Your Son was a good, hard-working boy

Richards' elder brother Frank was killed 28 May 1917
