Robert's Story

Robert was killed in action on 21 Oct 1914 at Zonnybieke, Ypres, Belgium.

I never knew him but my Grandfather and Nanna Brown and all his ancestors, remember him with deep respect. He was the first policeman from Walker, Northumberland, to be killed in action. He is remembered with Honour on the YPRES (Menin Gate) Memorial. RIP.
