John's Story
John Clayton was born on 15 July 1895 in Glasgow. He was the eldest son of Joseph Clayton and Susan Potts. He enlisted in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) 10th Batt. and his death is listed as 21 January 1916. His name is mentioned on the Loos Memorial.
he was 22 years old and had his whole life in front of him. He was my great uncle and my cousin Gary Clayton now visits the Loos Memorial to pay our respects every year.
He will never be forgotten
