Augustus's Story
Augustus was one of the lucky few who survived the Battle of the Somme, I believe at that point he was in the Robin Hoods, but as there were so few of them left from the Robin Hoods who had survived the Somme, Augustus had to join the 12th Northumberland Fusiliers. He died aged 26 and left a wife and daughter. He is buried in Vermelles Cemetery.
