Milk White White Teeth are a collective of eight friends. Founders Jon and Barrie met at school in Leicestershire when they were 14. Upon moving to Yorkshire they set about accumulating the right musicians to give life to their many bedroom recordings.
Jon met Gilly and James, Barrie met Michelle, and Alistair was around so he joined in (no one had the heart to tell him he wasn't invited). Polly started off blowing some brass notes on her own, before Alex kept her company. They've been playing together as a whole since December 2008 and have appeared at several Leeds venues including the Elbow Rooms and The Cockpit.
See them live, and you can expect the instruments on stage to outnumber the band members, with accordions, mandolins, cornets, glockenspiel, melodica all part of the MWWT sound.
