Steve is just raw blues! Always reminds me of the greats (John Lee Hooker, Hound dog Taylor...) True Delta bluesman but with his own fresh sound. Saw him at Leeds, the one stringer is so original. really proves you don't need top of the range guitars to produce a great sound.

Steve is one of my favourite musicians and I was really pleased to have seen him at Reading. Almost worth the ticket price himself - superb performance.First heard of him on Jools Holland's "Hootenanny" NYE program, then went to see him in Birmingham earlier in the year. Didn't get close enough to see him at the Carling Academy, so really glad was able to get closer - you really need to see him too to get the full effect! You can even see me in the video (1 min 37 secs), wearing a baseball cap. I look really bored, but that's just my concentrating face - Steve was awesome!Steve-o!! Steve-o!!

"My name is Steve, and I'm a walking maaaan" - what a way to be introduced to such a great artist, I planned to be in the Radio 1 tent early for Foals and was pleasantly surprised by Seasick!

He was the suprise highlight of Reading for me. The whole NME tent was packed with people coming to see him, and what made it so great was that he was really suprised at the audience's reaction to him and he was enjoying it as much as everyone else. A true performer.

I was in this crowd, one of the best performances of the festival in my view and had the crowd going mad.

Steve was absolutely brilliant and seemed genuinely touched by the cheers he got at Leeds, he thought he was getting booed but realised we were all chanting "Steve!".

Just got back from Leeds Festival having watched steve yesterday, had not seen nor heard of him before and did not intend to do so but i very glad i did he just a good live performer to able to produce such unique fresh music and not need any fancy gismos 3 stringed 1 stringed guitars . In a time where truely original music is our precious commodity Seasick Steve provides an abundance.
