I went to Reading on Sunday anxious to see the lubricious playing style of Slipknot, to unfortunately hear that they had pulled out (in both senses) at the last minute. What should I do when 7pm arrives? This would certainly ruin my schedule? Why not try out a new band? The Bacchae have now completely changed my life. I thought that being alternative was to look like my friends did; to conform against the norm. Now I realise that my life had been devoid of a very precious thing. Glitter. Since Sunday I have minced my way down my local High Street in my fathers old platforms and my mothers blouse, blind with mascara, dumb with lipstick. I am now the man I ought to be. Gone are the cargo pants. Gone are the hooded pullovers. On with the feather boa's. On with the pearl necklace. The Bacchae changed my life. Go ahead and change yours.Pearl xxx
