Meat producers in the UK are engaged in what you could describe as a sort of ‘press release war’ with the World Cancer Research Fund. It’s over advice the Fund put out in 2007 about how much red meat we should eat.It was this - that you should eat no more than a pound of red meat a week and avoid cured and processed meat if you want to reduce your risk of bowel cancer. Guests: Maureen Stong, British Pig Executive, Professor Martin Wiseman, World Cancer Research Fund, Dr Ben Goldacre, Bad Science Website.
