The mental health charity MIND is calling on the government produce a male mental health strategy. There is a Women’s Mental Health Strategy in place in England but no ‘male’ equivalent despite men being four times more likely to commit suicide or visit their GP if feeling down.
Peter White visited a men’s mental health support group in Croydon, South London, and speaks to Alistair Campbell who had a nervous breakdown while working as a journalist and suffers from depression.
