Later this year the Disability Rights Commision will be subsumed into the Commission for Equality and Human Rights. Today the DRC launched their charter of the top ten priorities, which they say are necessary to tackle poverty and inequality suffered by disabled people. They warn that hard fought rights, and an improved sense of belonging to society , are slipping. Our Disability Affairs reporter Carolyn Atkinson was at the launch.
