The MaxMara Art Prize is aimed at nurturing the practice of an emerging female artist, providing an opportunity for her to produce a new work of art.
Each short-listed candidate was commissioned to make a proposal for a project to be realised during a six-month residency in Italy and the winner was Harrogate based film maker Margaret Salmon.
