Countess Rumbeke
In the next of our series of the women to whom Mozart dedicated his piano sonatas, we come to Countess Rumbeke, one of Mozart's first pupils in Vienna.
He wrote his Piano Variations in F specially for her in order to test every element of her technique. Diana Ambache showed Claudia Hammond just why these pieces are so challenging.
