Author Amy Tan first came to light with the publication of her first novel The Joy Luck Club, which was nominated for the National Book Award and has since been adapted in to a film. Her last novel The Bonesetter's Daughter has sold over 300,000 books to date.

Eleven American tourists disappear and find themselves deep in the Burma jungle, where they met a tribe awaiting the return of their leader and the mythical book of wisdom that will protect them from destruction.
