Does it affect men's life expectancy?

Is patriarchy a key influence on the reason that men die younger than women?

Male dominated societies are shortening men's lives according to new research from the University of Liverpool. After looking at 51 countries across the world, their data suggests that machismo is responsible for killing is men.

Jenni asks, how far is patriarchy the source of men's higher mortality and what are the implications for women?
