Diane Arbus is one of the most important and influential photographers of the twentieth century. Her life was so colourful that a film is being made about her, starring Nicole Kidman, but her suicide in 1971 left many questions unanswered.
Now the Victoria and Albert Museum is putting on the first major retrospective of her work in over thirty years.
