Diane Arbus11 Oct 2005
A look at the photographer's life, work and legacy

Diane Arbus is one of the most important and influential photographers of the twentieth century. Her life was so colourful that a film is being made about her, starring Nicole Kidman, but her suicide in 1971 left many questions unanswered.

Now the Victoria and Albert Museum is putting on the first major retrospective of her work in over thirty years.

Jenni talks to historian of photography Amanda Hopkinson and art photographer Hannah Starkey about Arbus's life, work and legacy.
