Why are so few reported to the police?

One hundred thousand teenagers run away from home every year in the UK. They are often escaping abuse or unhappy family situations. With only ten safe beds for them in the country, and only 68% of cases being reported to the police, what lessons can we learn from the United States about how to improve the situation?

Jenni is joined by Patricia Durr, Parliamentary Liaison Officer for The Children's Society and Richard Bryan, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
