1 in 6 couples have difficulty conceiving and in a third of cases it is male infertility that accounts for the problem.
However, a recent survey found that although 67% of GPs felt that young men should be made more aware of fertility issues, only 12% of men viewed their fertility as a concern when thinking about starting a family.
