Why there's a renewal of interest in the game

When did you last swing a rounders bat? Were you a big hitter? A great catcher? Or were you more likely to be caught making daisy chains when you should have been fielding in the deep?

It may be time to dig out your running shoes, because there's a renewal of interest in the traditional summer game, and clubs across the country have been signing up new members.

Jane Gething-Lewis joined the windswept spectators at the all-women league in Herefordshire.
