A new book has been published by Britain 's first female guard about women railway workers in history.
In 1978, Helena Wojtczak became the first peacetime woman guard on the British railways. Her appointment was seen as ground-breaking but she herself has discovered a hidden history of women railway workers stretching back to the 1830s.
She joins Jenni to talk about the experiences of being a woman guardsman in the glory days of steam railways
