Cricket through the eyes of an artist

England cricketers may have been a standing joke a couple of months ago, but since winning their last five Test Series, they've been hailed national heroes. If you've watched any of the games then you might have seen a woman on the edge of the boundary in a white hat, painting the scene for posterity.

Jocelyn Galsworthy grew up surrounded by cricket and loved the sport so much she now travels the world painting the game professionally. She has just portayed the first of the Ashes Test Matches at Lords and is currently capturing the second Test Match at Edgbaston.

Jo Morris, who doesn’t know an LBW from a googly, met her at Bentworth Village Cricket Club in Hampshire as Jocelyn was unloading her car to start work on a commission of the village ground.

Lords of Cricket: Players, Personalities and Legends by Jocelyn Galsworthy published by Quiller Press -ISBN: 1904057683
