Women feel pain more than men

38 per cent of people over 18 experience chronic pain, encompassing headaches, arthritis and nerve pain whilst studies have shown that women feel pain more intensely.

Now researchers are working to tailor drugs and treatments to suit individuals so as to allow them to cope and live with the pain.

Jenni discusses the issues with Dr Beverley Collett, President of the British Pain Society and consultant in Pain Management and Anaesthesia at the University Hospitals of Leicester, and Dr Ed Keogh from the Pain Management Unit and University of Bath.
