The Conservative Party6 July 2005

Where do women fit in?

Before the last election, a Tory MP was quoted as asking " I wonder if any of our wives would vote Conservative if they were not our wives?"

The Conservative party faces a long summer of soul searching, as it tries to redefine its values and its place in our politic landscape. But with no mention of any women in the leadership contest so far, and an increase of just three female MP's in the last election, how seriously is the party taking the role of women in the re-building of the party?

Theresa May, Ann Jenkin and Dr Sarah Childs will be joining Jenni for the discussion.
