Children and pop music27 June 2005
Why are so many bands producing pop music aimed at children?

Belle & Sebastian have done it, as have They might be Giants and now St Etienne have turned their attention to a much younger audience.

To discuss this growing trend, Jenni is joined by Sarah Cracknell and Bob Stanley from Saint Etienne and by Kitty Empire of The Observer.

“Up the Wooden Hills” by Saint Etienne is released in September 2005. A limited edition sampler is included with their "grown-up" album "Tales from Turnpike" released on 13 June.
