Today the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) publishes its new Guide to Infertility, which offers advice to people seeking treatment in the UK
On April 01 2005, the ban on anonymity for egg and sperm donors was lifted, which means that in theory, donors could be contacted by their birth children once they reach 18, there are now fears that the number of donors will decrease.
With cheaper, quicker and more varied treatment available outside the UK, will there be a growth in so-called ‘fertility tourism’? And what are the potential risks of seeking treatment abroad?
