Elkie Brooks10 May 2005
Elkie talks about her 40 year career and plays live

After Radio 2 played the Out Of The Rain track from Elkie Brooks' new album there was such a massive reaction that it is now being released a single.

Best known for her songs Sunshine After the Rain and Pearl's A Singer, Elkie Brooks released her first single in 1964 and gained huge commercial success in the early 1980s when Pearls 1 and 2 had combined sales of 1.5 million, and at the time were the biggest selling albums by a female singer ever.

Elkie will be in the studio, singing live and talking about her four decades in the music business.

Electric Lady is available on Townsend Records
