Conservative Party Manifesto12 April 2005
After months of phoney war, the real election campaign is now under way with all parties keen to win the Woman's Vote

The Conservatives are the first to unveil their election manifesto.

In 1997 a million women voters deserted the Conservatives, so what policies are the Tories now offering to entice women to vote for them in 2005?

In the first of the Woman's Hour assessments of the main party manifestos, Jenni will be joined by Katherine Rake of the Fawcett society and Rosie Bennett, deputy political editor of the Times, to analyse the Conservative Party’s manifesto.
