Could a woman win the Grand National
Can a woman win the prestigious race?

Countless newspaper column inches in recent weeks have been devoted to the chances of jockey Carrie Ford of becoming the first woman to the Grand National at Aintree this Saturday.

Last year she won the Fox Hunter’s Chase – a race over the same course for amateur jockeys.

But legendary trainer Ginger McCain has dismissed Ford’s chances out of hand – because she’s a woman.
