how has their role changed?

Some screamed, some fought back. Others were brave but scantily clad. Some had degrees in astro physics while others simply didn't have a clue. Women have been represented in many different ways in science fiction over the years.

As a new series of Doctor Who is scheduled to start at the end of March, with another female assistant in tow, Martha looks at the changing role of women in sci-fi.
