Why she doesn't intend to say farewell to opera

Known fondly as Flott, Dame Felicity Lott is one of the doyens of the opera and concert hall world.

From her signature role as the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier to the Cat duet which they performed with Ann Murray at The Last Night of the Proms, she is still in demand all around the world.

She tells Jenni why she enjoys collaborating with other singers, how operetta has given her a new lease of life and why, despite the rumours that she may be about to say farewell to opera, she has no intention of doing so.

Song on the South Bank 2004/05, Monday 24 January 2005, Queen Elizabeth Hall, 7.45pm
