extended interview with the England boss

England football manager, Sven Goran Erikson, has been lionised and lambasted by degrees and the victim of the usual round of tabloid tittle tattle in 2004.

On the field he suffered the disappointment of Euro 2004 where England fans thought we might be in with a chance of finally winning a major trophy, only to be driven under by Portugal. 

Jon Snow met Sven at his office at the Football Association in Central London and wondered whether his cool exterior hid a more temperamental interior.
