on her directorial debut, A Way of Life

This month 3 out of 5 prizes awarded at the London Film Festival went to women. Amongst them was the young Black-British writer Amma Asante. 

She talks to Martha about her directorial debut, A Way of Life, the battle to get the film made and why she chose to put a gang of white racist teenagers at the centre of her story.

A Way Of Life is released in UK cinemas on Friday 12 November, certificate 15
